2008.APR.08 kickoff/planning meeting

Needs to be a unique search string when used in (e.g.)
	WSOOTC portland oregon
or	WSOOTC beaverton oregon

and WOTC has too many other hits/uses.

Naming will be discussed (& hopefully decided) on the mailing list.

Attracting interest & users:

Critical mass, maybe 3-4 people around for collaboration etc.
Put calendar on wiki, for both planned/expected use and actual use
(tracking).

Put notices at FreeGeek and CubeSpace.
Create and post to a PDX all-open-tech-groups mailing list.

Measuring success:

stuff is actively happening here :)

Access, hours, security:

Regular office hours are 8am - 5pm.
We will add a few keyholders - TBD.

Network access:  have 2 T-1 lines
Put big bandwidth requirements/users at PSU lab.

Some ideas:

Something on the walls
Furnishings (from PSU)
Refrigerator
Microwave
Better lighting
Whiteboard
Power strips
Large displays for laptop users
Network switch/router and wireless AP

Maybe someone at Lewis & Clark can help in this.
Legal assignee.

Both the PSU Foundation and OTBC are 501(c)(3) organizations, so
donations (e.g., computer hardware or test/measurement hardware) can be
donated thru these.  Best to check with Bart or Steve first.
